Position Overview: The primary responsibility of shipping takes care of all outside process and shipping responsibilities. Candidate will be responsible for counting, wrapping, labeling and packaging parts as well as directing tasks to the Shipping Team. We ship parts of all shapes, sizes and weights (Safely). Specific duties include: Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of shipment. Adhere to shipping and receiving policies/procedures, and regulatory compliance procedures. Proper and safe packaging of customer items. Verification of pieces being sent or received. Doing a bill of lading for shipments and keeping other paperwork neat and organized to avoid future issues. May contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials. Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications. Being customer oriented on the phone and in the shop. (They are #1 priority). Track and organize all inventory. Identify customer material, with receiver number. Receiving P.O.’s Organization of shipping and receiving supplies, packaging and shipping supplies. Complete an inventory count monthly and make necessary reports. Keeping the shop organized and free of unnecessary obstructions. Other duties as assigned by Shipping Manager. Must be flexible and willing to work overtime as needed. Required to be self-motivated, and possess interpersonal skills. Good computer skills, knowledge of JobBoss helpful. Use of an Instapak machine (Foam bags) preferred. Familiar with Ups /FedEx software preferred. Ability to assess and solve problems. Excellent follow up skills. Self-starter who enjoys responsibility and accountability. Decision making skills. Strong communication skills both in person and by Use general power tools to create shipping crates for larger products. Adheres to all Front Desk procedures including, but not limited to: reviewing and completing Daily Activity Reports (DAR); completing incident reports for management; and responding to emergency situations. Adheres to company standards for resident and guest services. Undertakes administrative tasks related to the Front Desk and back-of-house operations as requested. Ensures that resident and guest concerns are resolved in a professional and timely manner. Reports to General Manager and/or Lead Concierge any resident or guest dissatisfaction.
