Primary Function: Execution of construction projects, management of contractors, and oversight of project progress in a timely and cost-effective manner. Support the Manager of CMS with budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of the projects. Communicate progress daily with client contacts. Reports To: Manager of Construction Management Services (CMS) Responsibilities: Represent the Firm in a professional manner Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion Review project specifications to determine appropriate construction sequence and flow Strategize and execute plans to mitigate delays caused by bad weather, emergencies or unforeseen conditions Coordinate and direct subcontractors Review the work progress on daily basis Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to project status Identify, assess, evaluate, control and monitor risks Maintain and monitor quality control Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques All other duties as apparent or assigned Job Requirements and Qualifications: As Construction Manager, you must be a dependable team player with a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit. You must also be highly organized and detail-oriented with strong time management and prioritization skills. You must display excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Constant commitment to customer satisfaction. Specific qualifications for the Construction Manager position include: 3-5 years of experience in the commercial construction industry and familiarity with a variety of field concepts, practices & procedures (Experience in Building Envelope/Roofing/Paving disciplines is a plus) Experience in supervising complex construction projects Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people to achieve maximum efficiency Ability to manage projects to completion within required timeline and budget Must be willing to travel extensively and stay at job sites to support and manage construction crews Ability to hold contractors accountable during all phases of the project Responsible and quality driven Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance, adhering to Company standards Benefits: As a Construction Manager at StructureTec, you will have the backing of an established and stable company as you build your professional skills and career.
