Mechanical Contractor looking for NCCCO Certified Crane Operator and Equipment Operator for jobsite installations. Responsibilities (Crane): Operate boom crane to lift & move material & large equipment from ground storage areas and truck to building roofs Move levers, depress foot pedals, turn dials, operator computer for lifting, moving & placing loads Inspect & adjust crane mechanisms to prevent malfunctions or damage Inspect cables or grappling devices for wear Determine load weights & compare against lifting capacities to prevent overload Clean, lubricate & maintain mechanisms Load/unload material from trucks using forklift equipment Assist in rigging process for all picks Knowledge of OSHA regulations for safe operation Move crane or other equipment on highways between projects Require NC Class A Driver's License Responsibilities (Equipment): Digging excavation to grade for piping installations Install piping (get off machine) Install trenching, shoring, if required Rigging piping and equipment for installation Operate equipment in safe and accurate manner Operate multiple pieces of equipment daily Requirements: Knowledge of different types of equipment operation Knowledge of trenching and shoring techniques as required in the construction trade Ability to use tools associated with the construction trade Ability to follow oral or written instructions Ability and physical strength sufficient to move objects Bending and lifting items of a reasonable weight on average 50lbs. or more climb and/or maintain balance Stooping, kneeling, crouching Reach for, handle and manipulate objects
