Summary: The function of the Warehouse Manager is to ensure that all Warehouse Operations including, but not limited to; Distribution, Production, Inventory Management, Quality Control, Shipping and the Receiving of all MMI Military and Commercial products are tended to and completed in the most effective and cost-efficient manner. In addition, the Warehouse Manager is expected to suggest and eventually implement and manage any process improvements that increase efficiencies while cutting cost. Duties and responsibilities: Manages and controls cycle counting program. Monitors and controls all materials logged into the receiving department; ensures materials are staged for counting and inspection; ensures receiving reports accurately report the material received. Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports. Monitors the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry. Ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures. Oversees the rotation of inventories within the warehouse. Run multiple production lines and monitor work flow. Manage all manufacturing orders based on First In First Out. Perform time studies to calculate human capital efficiencies. Contributes to the financial objectives of the company by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Maintain records for inventory accuracy trends, inventory reconciliations, inventory audit, and report the discrepancies to upper management. Work closely and cooperates with the “Quality Control” team within the warehouse and adjusts production as necessary. Manage team of assemblers to ensure that schedules and forecasts are prepared accurately and in a timely fashion. Maintains and updates all floor travelers both hard and digital copies. Interact with engineering, sales and purchasing departments. Applies all necessary procedures within the warehouse to comply with all military and ISO-9001 regulations. Required Education, Experience and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or minimum 7 years’ experience in warehouse management in lieu of the degree. At least 5 years of warehouse supervisory/managerial experience in a manufacturing environment mandatory (Industry related a plus). Working Knowledge of Microsoft Word. Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is absolutely required. Working knowledge of QuickBooks. Strong Leadership skills Must be mechanically inclined and previous experience with a variety of hand tools. Previous experience working in a Six Sigma, ISO or Kaizan environment a plus. Competencies Good written & verbal communication skills. Ability to gather data, compile Information, & prepare reports. Well organized, detail oriented, & able to handle fast paced work environment. Effective communication and documentation skills. Ability to communicate and work with employees at all levels of the company. Ability to work independently & prioritize with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines. Proven leadership and managerial skills. Ability to convey valuable information using Excel spreadsheets (Expert Level)
