Distribution Lead: "Hands on" leader, under the direction of the Branch Manager, responsible for leading a team of warehouse team members, including hiring, delegating, training, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, and termination. Directing the daily work of the warehouse team members, keeping a pulse on the changing labor needs, conducting regular inventory counts, planning warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization. This position will take into account full implications of freight turnover, size, weight, and other factors when allocating warehouse space. This role will also enforce corporate policies regarding security and safety in order to maintain a safe and happy working environment. Job Duties: Leading Warehouse Operations skills, and a team of up to 10 team members. Member of the Joint Health and Safety team and ISO quality team Inventory Management & RF Scanner (real-time) experience. Ability to lead/supervise and motivate a team to achieve and exceed their goals. Highly organized and able to change direction and revert back. Quick learner with enthusiastic attitude and high-energy. Mentors, gives direction, and conducts daily team huddles. Recognizes weakness and provides coaching, guidance, and/or disciplinary action. Team player who understands and supports the Company’s values, initiatives, policies, and goals. Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and delegating work accordingly. Experience in First Aid and CPR Proven Resource Management. Experience with fork lift, hi low, hand picking using carts, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs. International shipping experience with creating & entering customs documents and ensuring accuracy. A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills absolutely required. Maintains appropriate and complete documentation regarding regulated products and hazardous materials. UPS/FedEx: Order based shipments ("same day ship"). Works to improve strategic performance metrics (KPI’s) and targets that are consistent with company goals. Ensures that timesheets are completed and submitted correctly on a bi-weekly basis. Job Requirements: High school diploma, GED, college, university, or equivalent. 3+ years of experience leading/supervising warehouse operations. Experience working with WMS a plus. Intermediate skills creating, manipulating, and reviewing Excel spreadsheets. Strong problem solving skills (analyzing incorrect pulling, scanning gun issues, etc.) Proven track record of excellent attendance and reliability. Experience working with Epicor’s Prophet 21 a plus. Tooling and Machinery knowledge a plus. Valid forklift license. Experience with ISO compliance and certification a plus.
