Job Overview


The Conviva Care Center Transportation Maintenance Specialist is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating daily pick up and drop off of vehicles for maintenance and repairs. They are required to utilize assigned technology and make quick and effective decisions throughout the day in order to achieve their daily tasks. This individual will need to develop strong communications with all field personnel including drivers, dispatchers, supervisors, and managers of the Conviva Care Center Transportation Department.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicate regularly with the Maintenance Lead and Fleet Manager regarding status of vehicles
  • Assist in base fleet walks to provide any items needed to stay in compliance
  • Planning, organize, and coordinate daily pick up and drop off of vehicles for maintenance and repairs
  • Assist with fleet vendors to ensure completion of services rendered.
  • Maintain daily log of vehicles taken in and out of service, destinations, and condition of vehicles.
  • Assist with transporting employees, vehicles and equipment to other transportation hubs and vendors.
  • This individual will need to develop strong relationship and communications with transportation vendors representing the company in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to self-manage, multi-task, organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to think on one's feet and make decisions quickly.
  • Ability to determine what is the single most important task at any given moment.
  • Operate computer software program and wireless applications to maintain current vehicle information
  • Monitors GPS display screen to pin point exact locations of all vehicles through the day
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness by overseeing vehicle washing and detailing
  • Maintain vehicles mechanically safe and compliant
  • Monitor, prioritize and resolve any issues that may affect our vehicles caused by mechanical problems
  • Participate in educational trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Report any mechanical failures to Production Lead/Fleet Manager and any findings not aligned with company/department policies and procedures.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures.


  • Good driving record
  • A high commitment to service excellence.
  • Must be able to lift 25+ lbs.
  • Able to lift, bend and maneuver wheel chairs.
  • Be able to work in all outside weather conditions.
  • Comfortable working independently and on a team
  • Must have professional appearance
  • Be able to pass the pre-employment substance abuse screening, background check, random drug test and Human Performance Evaluation (HPE)
  • Undergo D.O.T Physical Exam.
  • Basic knowledge of automobile maintenance

Physical Demands

  • Requires sitting, standing and driving for extended hours.

Education/Other Skills

  • GED, High School Diploma or higher
  • Bi-Lingual English/Spanish
  • Knowledge of Miami-Dade and Broward County streets and addresses.
