Our Associates drive a brand-new Ford Pro-Master Cargo Van equipped with Bluetooth and backup camera. Use Industry level Caterpillar phones with GPS. These will guide you on an efficient route of 150-200 stops around the Twin Cities metro area while delivering Amazon packages. Associates must have clean driving record and able to pass a criminal background check. Must be 21 years of age to be eligible for this job.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Delivery Associate:
Must always represent the Company in a professional manner.
Drive Amazon branded van from the Delivery Station to designated customer addresses.
Uses hand held device for routing information, customer delivery information, to communicate with home office/dispatch, and to track packages.
Loads and unloads packages into/out of the assigned vehicle.
Inspects van equipment and supplies for defects: tires, lights, brakes, etc.
Maintains contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions if unclear or if problems occur.
Maintains logs according to state and federal regulation.
Secures packages to ensure no damage is caused during the delivery process.
Follows all safety rules and company policies in and outside the Delivery Station.
Required Skills and Experience:
Customer Service – Professionalism at all times with anyone at the customer location. Must be able to represent the company in a service-oriented and courteous manner at all times.
Must be at least 21 of age and hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Must Consent to drug screening and background check.
Technology Oriented – must be comfortable using mobile technology in an efficient manner.
Safety and Security – Must be able to adhere to all safety and security procedures. Able to determine appropriate action beyond guidelines as required. Report potentially unsafe conditions immediately.
Attendance/Punctuality and Timeliness – MUST be consistently at work at required shift and be on time or early. Must be able to completes work in a timely manner and within the standards outlined by the company.
Dependability – Follows instructions, responds to management direction. Takes responsibility for own actions. Keeps commitments. Completes tasks on time or notifies supervisor in advance, if a commitment is at risk.
Quality – meets productivity and service standards
Physical Demands and Work Environment: Employee is required to stand, walk, sit and drive a company- provided vehicle. Employee is required to reach and lift with both hands and both arms. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds in a single package.
Work Environment: Employee is driving a vehicle in urban, suburban and rural settings. Must be comfortable working alone and communicating with home office and supervisor through provided mobile device.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. College degree preferred.
Must be 21 years of age with a Valid State Driver’s License.
