SUMO is a growing, profitable, and fun technology startup headquartered in Oakland. We’re hiring outgoing, articulate, people pleasers to join our sales team. You will be trained on how to develop a pipeline of prospects interested in our product, “SUMO”. Your job will include sending email campaigns and making up to 50 calls a day. You’re a creative, energetic, self-starter, who has a basic understanding of the sales process. You also have a passion to understand our product to effectively communicate to the marketplace.
Make daily B2B outbound calls to all incoming leads and qualify the prospects based on the criteria set by the Sales Manager
Quickly identify all qualified leads and book a demo with the appropriate Account Executive and/or Sales Engineer
Nurture all warm and cold leads with an ultimate goal of turning them into qualified opportunities
Attention to detail in documenting use cases for prospects
Add / update our CRM database as needed using tools like LinkedIn, Zoominfo, Data.com
Assist in defining monthly marketing plan and strategies for prospective clients
Ability to wear multiple hats: lead qualification, inside sales, appointment setting, marketing
Provide sales and marketing support to all Account Executives and Sales Manager, as needed
Use social media tools (Facebook, Twitter, Buffer) to promote engagement and brand awareness
You have 1+ year of customer-facing experience in sales, customer service, or professional services.
You are extroverted and energized by high volume outbound calls.
You have a technology background and are comfortable discussing complex solutions to non-technical people.
You are incredibly articulate on the phone.
You have a track record of overachieving in past positions.
You have strong CRM experience.
You thrive in a start-up organization / entrepreneurial environment.
