Job Overview


Responds to both emergency and non-emergency service inquiries and disseminates information to the appropriate person, station, and/or crew to successfully complete the requested call in a timely manner.

  • Ensuring that all transport requests are picked up in a timely manner
  • Ensuring all crews are accounted for at all times
  • Ensuring that callers are notified of any delays in transports
  • Ability to demonstrate responsibility by receiving, assimilating, and recording information accurately and to respond correctly and efficiently Dispatching of transport requests and relaying appropriate information to field and flight crews
  • Knowledge of geography of service area
  • Interact professionally with other health care personnel
  • Work as part of a team


  • Possess good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deal with adverse situations
  • Keyboard and computer skills; minimum typing speed of 25 words per minute
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Excellent listening skills

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment computers, phones, printers, scanners and photocopiers.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of times
  • Must be able to hear well
  • Must be able to speak, write, and understand English fluently

  • Full and Part time positions
  • Days, overnights and weekends


No travel is expected for this position

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Data entry experience
  • Experience using Microsoft software
  • Medical terminology knowledge

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Emergency Medical Services experience
  • Experience in communications or call center

Additional Eligibility Requirements

  • Must pass company provided physical exam (post offer, pre- employment) & Drug Screen
  • Must successfully complete company sponsored EVOC
