Under the direction of Section Chief or more senior technicians, troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs a wide variety of air condition units, such as, RV, window units and residential units up to 10 tons and large chiller systems. Troubleshoots and diagnoses mobile and semi-permanent temperature conditioning chambers. Enters maintenance information into electronic maintenance tracking system. Uses maintenance check sheets to report equipment anomalies to section chief. Connects mobile temperature conditioning units to auxiliary power units as well as to permanent power panels. Assists senior technicians in performing higher-level maintenance actions. Provides guidance to junior technicians. Performs other duties as required to complete the assigned mission. This position is covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement. QualificationsPay Rate: $21.72/hour
Must have one of the following: 4 year’s directly related HVAC experience, OR directly related Trade School / Military training and 1 year of directly related experience.

Must be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
Must be able to maintain own tools to the minimum requirement by the company.
Must be able to participate in the on-call rotation, to respond to trouble calls during non-scheduled hours.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.
Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.
Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions including summer temperatures peaking around 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Must be capable of lifting 100 lbs. unassisted
Must be able to climb ladders safely
Must be capable of kneeling, squatting, bending and standing while performing maintenance duties.
Must be able to distinguish colors.
Must meet the physical requirements necessary to perform operations outlined, performed, and stated in the SOPs for AC Maintenance-Electrical.

Must be able speak, write, read, and understand English.

Must be a U.S. Citizen and not hold multiple citizenships.
Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.
