This position manages and maintains all aspects of the Loading Dock, Shipping, Receiving, Security, Trash and Refuse Maintenance as well as Vendor/Contractor and Moving Companies load in and out of the property. The Dock Master will work closely with the Front Desk Concierge, the Engineering Department as well as the Housekeeping department at the property.
Responsible for cleaning, maintaining and organizing the loading dock area, shipping and receiving as well as the Package Storage areas.
Assists in monitoring inventory levels, ordering supplies and items needed for the property, Engineering department, Front Desk and Housekeeping.
Attends on-going training.
Able to maintain a clean and sanitary condition at the loading dock.
Pressure washes Loading Dock area on a regularly scheduled basis, and when necessary keeps these visible areas looking their best.
Able to monitor and troubleshoot our fire and security systems when an issue/situation occurs, so they can clearly describe the issue to monitoring/maintenance personnel.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize and then re-prioritize work orders during the day with the assistance of the Chief Engineer.
Perform other duties as required, when requested by management.
Complete all required forms and chain of custody documents.
Log all incoming packages (UPS, FEDEX, DHL, USPS, Courier) and notify homeowners by scanning and emailing tracking information through BuildingLink
Log all outgoing package pickups as well as periodically audit the package storage room to ensure accuracy.
Schedule all moving companies, deliveries and on-site contractor visits by utilizing BuildingLink Software and ensuring proper insurance coverages prior to arrival at property.
Regularly clean and power wash the loading dock and shipping/receiving areas to maintain a like new appearance.
Assist in daily pick up, scheduling and movement of trash containers, dumpsters, recycling and other dock items.
Complete the properties Annual Waste Diversion Plan with the City of Austin.
OPERATING SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
High School Diploma preferred.
4+ years of verifiable previous experience working as a shipping/receiving manager at a
Maintains relationships with all vendors, movers and delivery services.
Previous experience in residential high-rise or hotel/resort is a plus. Experience in a customer service/hospitality environment is also a plus.
Must possess strong understanding of Microsoft Excel, Property Management Systems such as BuildingLink, LightSpeed, Dwell Live, etc.
Any trade certifications/licenses a plus
Willingness and desire to attend industry sponsored educational seminars.
Prior Clerical, Loss Prevention or Front Desk experience a plus
Must possess a background in logistics/shipping/receiving and a strong interpersonal skill, as well as knowledge/experience of customer service principles and practices.
Experience in, and current knowledge of, all shipping companies and local curriers, including accurate tracking and record keeping.
Physical demands include ability to lift 50 to 100lb, following appropriate safety procedures.

Must have excellent time management skills and a strong work ethic to ensure that they complete all their responsibilities on a timely basis.

Ability to work extended/flexible hours, weekends, and holidays if required by coverage for the building. Able to be on-call outside of normal operating hours when required.
Must have reliable transportation.
