This position is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and maintaining efficient transportation services for the company.

Work with sales managers & DSR’s to insure customer service is kept at its highest standard.
Work with sales and routing to create routes that work best for everyone involved and at the lowest cost for the company.
Monitor Brown Foodservice equipment to insure maintenance is being kept on the equipment.
Monitor the inside and outside cleanliness of equipment in the field to insure HACCP guidelines are met, and the overall appearance of the equipment is good.
Monitor temperatures on the trailers and document to insure food is being kept at the proper temperature according to HACCP guidelines.
Monitor the appearance of drivers making sure they are in uniform and having a neat appearance.
Monitor delivery drivers to insure that all safety rules and regulations are being followed.
Have been trained in controlled substance abuse and alcohol misuse in accordance with 49 CFR part 382.603 (A).
Attending quarterly driver safety meetings.
Training of new drivers and reviewing all policies and procedures that needs to be followed.
Responsible for drivers and making sure health cards and log sheets are in compliance with DOT standards.
Driver Training every quarter to insure safety of drivers and vehicles
Responsible for the making of new programs and policies to better profit the drivers and company.
Responsible for any breakdowns that may occur on routes to insure that the vehicle with resume in a quickly and timely manner.
Co-monitor and manage duties and responsibilities of all transportation personnel.
Monitor department to insure all DOT regulations are in compliance; also monitor all other safety rules & regulations as outlined in standard operating procedures, with personnel department on drug & alcohol policy.
Monitor and manage driver monitoring systems (xata on board computers) and reports taking necessary steps to keep department within budget.
Monitor and manage dispatch procedures.
Monitor and manage any other project as directed by Director of Operations – Transportation Manager.
Work with customer relations for both Company and Union.
Work with Company and Union on disciplinary actions.
Work with driver on new company procedures.
Do audit reports on new and old drivers and go over any problems they are having.
Work with driver at the shuttle points when Company thinks needed, and go over any problems they may be having.
Go over New Driver Training Manual with all new drivers. Refer to New Driver Training Manual and S.O.P. for drivers.
Go out and help train new drivers on the road and help show them Company procedures, paper-work, etc.
Fill in as route driver and cover shuttle points when called upon.
Do audits reports on the runs; looking for ways to help the drivers save time, also types of roads they travel and for low underpasses, parking, etc.
Responsible for accident investigation.
Be able to work and do just about anything the Company may ask.
