Global Concrete & Aggregate Company located in Conroe Tx, is currently conducting interviews for Heavy Equipment Operator Foreman. All qualified candidates will work on a possible long term " Temp to Hire" basis upon completion of the necessary probationary period & reevaluation. The Operator Foremen is required to perform a variety of basic tasks within the aggregate & concrete plant environment. Upon completion of the required safety training foreman will be able to effectively communicate and safely follow directions and report any deviations from the norm that might impact production, quality or processing efficiencies. The successful candidate will have a proven safety record as well as a history of being a team player. Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, and O.T. When needed.
Essential Job Responsibilities and Tasks: Operate all types of off road heavy equipment including Haul Trucks, Excavator, Front End Loader. Travel is required to and from four different local North Houston work sites - locations. Work in all areas of the plant as needed - this may be in different areas of the plant (i.E. Repair, yard clean-up or working on the dredge) Observe all safety precautions and rules specified by federal, state, and company regulations Report unsafe conditions - Report accidents or incidents immediately. Conduct a complete pre-post and shift safety inspection daily. Responsible for knowing aggregate products. Able to estimate weight when loading trucks either visually or grade, maintain stockpiles. Load customer trucks in a safe and accurate manner. Communicate with customer truck drivers to ensure quality service. Communicate repair and safety issues to supervisor and/or mechanic. Responsible for lubrication of truck and performing minor repairs on equipment. Utilize equipment in a manner to maximize productivity and minimize wear and down time. Perform a daily walk-around inspection and fill out inspection form. Recognize contaminated material and report unusual conditions to supervisor. Load a variety of materials to meet legal load limits. Fuel and lube equipment as needed. Must varied shifts as needed including 3rd shift and weekends when required
Skills and Qualifications: Prefer high school diploma or general education (GED) Prefer five years heavy equipment experience - Prefer Dozer, Backhoe and Skid Steer experience Prefer working knowledge of equipment operation and open pit mining - Must be able to carry 50 pounds MSHA training a plus -
Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, balancing, bending, lifting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, squatting, repetitive motions, manipulative finger movements with both hands, use of wrists, flexing or rotating with both wrists, use of both feet, use of arms above and below shoulder, perform duties in all climates, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
