Description: Plant Manager/Production Manager Tri-State Media
Tri-State Media, founded in 2001 by President, John Clary, Tri-State Media is a manufacturer of labels, tags and print media specializing in the automotive, manufacturing, distribution, petro/chemical markets, and more. Tri-State Media is one of the only companies in the label industry to reverse engineer the manufacturing process – we produce finished labels from raw materials all under the same roof. This allows us to reduce waste, cut out the middle man to reduce production costs, and gives us the ability to produce a highly customizable product to fit our customers’ individual needs.
Candidate will have experience managing both a production facility and a team. They should be able to analyze each step of the manufacturing process and make effective use of resources to deliver desired outcomes.
Oversee plant operations such as production schedule, supplies, tooling and staffing
Track department productions statistics and report to management
Manage and improve operational practices
Maintain clean and safe workspace by being a champion for all safety rules and regulations by strictly adhering to all safety policies and enforcing the same with direct reports and hourly workforce
Analyze production costs and inventory to establish areas for improvements
Ensure adherence to rules and workplace policies
Examine processes and design plans to effectively use available resources
Prioritize jobs to ensure maximum efficiency
Reduce waste by measuring waste
Set footage goals for presses and other departments
Recruit, Hire, Train and lead plant and warehouse teams
Overall responsibility for performance evaluations, discipline, vacation scheduling for the press department
Ensure a strong team environment with good communication skills between shifts and departments
Job Type: Full Time Pay Range: $65K to 85K and Comp. Bonus Plan Required Experience: Plant Management 2 Years: Supervisory 2 Years Benefits after 6 months of employment. 401K after 1 year. 30 Day Review and 90 Day Review

2+ years of experience in field with an emphasis on label printing is preferred
Experience in plant management and manufacturing operations is preferred
Previous management experience in a flexo printing company
Strong operations management skills and strong leadership qualities
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
