Job Overview

Kelly Services is currently seeking to employ 8-10 Warehouse Specialist for one of our government client in Indianapolis, IN! The position is projected to be a 3-4-month contract (8 positions will last to October and 2 positions will be long-term beyond October). The role will include training. Projected start is June 29th. Interviews will begin as soon as an identified candidate is presented. Travel will be occasional to various work sites in Indianapolis to assist in the field when needed, for the day. Pay: $12.00/hour Schedule- first shift, full time hours- Monday-Friday; 8am-4:30pm (must be punctual and reliable- attendance is crucial) Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a knowledgeable inventory control and asset tracking resource to program staff
  • Coordinates between various ISDH program areas that acquire equipment or supplies that require inventory control and asset tracking
  • Generates inventory and asset management reports from the system on an as needed basis
  • Assist in maintaining the 6 DEP trailers & related equipment for monthly inspection & related testing
  • Maintains documents on policies, procedures & SOPs related to equipment & supply tracking
  • Acts as a knowledgeable procurement representative with a working knowledge of Agency, State and Federal procurement policies
  • Works 50% of the time at the warehouse, moving, inventorying and managing equipment and supplies
  • Assists in the loading & transport of equipment and supplies to and from various locations
  • Handling and receiving shipments both at main office and warehouse
  • Responsible for ensuring procurement budgets are followed and tracked accordingly for Logistics
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma is a strong nice-to-have
  • Must be able to travel to occassional on site meetings and emergency response activities
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft systems, to include Excel & other software programs available for inventory control and asset tracking
  • Ability to research, interpret, and apply business requirements to inventory control and asset tracking systems
  • Thorough knowledge of and how to operate equipment that comprises an inventory control and asset tracking system
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both oral and in written form
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs over their head
  • Ability to use warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks (training can be provided)
  • Extensive knowledge of purchasing methods, procedures, laws, and regulations by state and agency
