We are seeking a Full-Time Automotive Technician to join our lean and agile team. This role will work out of our Mesa, Arizona location at 7943 E. Ray Rd, STE 129, Mesa, AZ 85212. The primary purpose of this job is to service, repair and refine ElectraMeccanicas vehicles to ensure superior product quality.

Duties & Responsibilities:

General Requirements

* Support the unloading of vehicles upon their arrival at the ElectraMeccanica facility.
* Up-fit and/or rework vehicles upon arrival from the manufacturer in preparation for delivery to customers.
* Perform preliminary test drives to identify vehicle issues and validate repairs.
* Ensure all vehicle parts and systems are functioning properly identifies any flaws and imperfections with vehicles.
* Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and perform required repairs.
* Perform all work per company processes and servicing standards. When standards are not yet available, participate in the development of such standards.
* Document all work performed on each vehicle, ensuring complete traceability of all work performed and parts added and/or removed.
* Effectively input all service performed into systems including paper travelers, Quartz, and SAP.
* Report any undocumented vehicle quality concerns and observed vehicle trends to management upon discovery.
* Prepare customer vehicles for delivery including including interior and exterior cleaning when needed by the team.
* When needed, provide technician support for engineering activities, prototype vehicles, and design and development activities.
* Must adhere to company safety guidelines and procedures as outlined by management, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Must protect all vehicles from systems damage by adhering to best practices including but not limited to wearing scratch resistant clothing, not wearing jewelry or watches, working with gloves, using vehicle covers, etc.
* Other duties as assigned by company management.


* Helps with office administrative duties as necessary, including (but not limited to) ensuring vehicles are charged and ready for events and test drives, cleaning the facility, updating system information, counting parts to ensure accurate spare parts inventory.
* Other duties and assistance as occasionally required by your team and/or manager.


* Completion of formal training program as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic is required for this role.
* ASE certification, Section 609 EPA certification, and advanced OEM or dealer training is preferred.
* Three to five (3-5) years of experience in automotive assembly, production, or service is required for this role, five to seven (5-7) years is highly preferred.
* Experience with electric vehicles or hybrid vehicles is an asset.
* Experience in a startup company and/or new product launch is a plus.
* Must be able to follow processes and procedures when up-fitting and reworking vehicles, and must be able to work to the defined shift schedule. Overtime work may be requested.
* Excellent communication skills builds effective relationships with team members.
* Must be a team player who is comfortable working with a variety of coworkers at various levels and departments.
* Initiative to develop and implement process improvements; must have a continuous improvement mindset and be results-oriented.
* Customer focused understands providing a positive customer experience is critical for our brand.
* This role will be required to work in an automotive production and automotive service environment. (Lifting up to 50 pounds, working in awkward positions, working in tight spaces).
* This role will be required to work in with hand tools, machinery, and power tools.
* Possesses a valid drivers license.
* Legally able to work in the United States of America.
