Nicky USA is currently looking to add a Delivery Driver/Account Representative to our successful Seattle team. We are a small, family-owned specialty meat company that has been in business for the past 30 years. This is a multi-faceted position where different hats must be worn.
The delivery side of the position entails picking, loading, and delivering orders to customers in a safe, prompt, and professional manner. This includes routine heavy lifting, utilizing the electronic inventory system, and maintaining product quality and warehouse safety and sanitation standards. The right candidate will be capable of working calmly under time constraints, maintaining strict attention to detail, and developing comprehensive knowledge of our inventory and our customers' needs quickly.
Additionally, the position is responsible for developing new customers and sales, managing a portfolio of accounts, and supporting business office logistics. This includes taking orders by phone, coordinating order inventory with the purchasing and production departments, and order-entry fulfillment using proprietary software. The right candidate will be capable of coordinating non-portfolio accounts when necessary, working routinely under time constraints, maintaining strict attention to detail, maintain a comprehensive knowledge of our inventory and the inventory control software system, and demonstrate a willingness to build customer relationships and acclimate to the company culture.
Essential Functions include, but not limited to:
Develop outside sales strategies that produce demonstrable increases in customer base and sales profits
Maintain full scope understanding of portfolio accounts in order to facilitate the most positive sales relationship with the chefs in those accounts
Coordinate customer orders and promote Nicky USA products to wholesale and retail customers
Model positive professionalism, proactive customer service, and a collaborative partnership with the purchasing, production, and warehouse departments to ensure the efficient execution of operations
Build customer order on proprietary software and assist with product guide maintenance, manage sales and freezer specials, and produce sales commission analysis reports.
Manage region specific route invoices to ensure accuracy of customer orders
Execute standing sales analysis, market trends, and sales projections to provide daily and monthly reports to the sales manager
Communicate with customers, employees, and other partners to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders, and resolve general order issues
Assist the Sales Manager and purchasing department with product guide maintenance
Attend sales and promotional events outside of business hours as a representative of Nicky USA and maintain a valid Food Handlers Card
Ability to lift 60-90 lbs.
Ability to travel within the Pacific Northwest sales region and communicate in a positive, professional, and diplomatic manner
A desirable candidate would have:
One year of consistent food service or restaurant experience
One year of consistent outside sales experience pursuing developing new sales and customers
General sales account management and customer service experience

Day Shift FT Position Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Please Note: The Sales Account Representative will be required to remain available outside of the set schedule for coverage needs and resolving customer order issues when necessary.
The compensation will be a base plus commission with eligibility of annual cost of living and merit increases for outstanding performance. All regular, full time employees are eligible for benefits on the first of the month following the completion of 60 days of employment.
Repeated absences and tardiness will result in termination. New hires are subject to a 90 day probationary period and review process.
