Job Overview

Position Summary

The Shipping and Receiving Technician (Biorepository) will work in an organized, timely manner to assist with Receiving and Shipping of Materials/Product that arrive daily, distributed or stored in the Biorepository.

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Collect Kanban cards from the supply closet, maintain order, and create PRFs as required
  • Pack and Prepare empty Toners for shipment; then send Report to Purchasing Department
  • Maintain Recycling Program
  • Maintain Kitchen Inventory; Creating Purchase Request Form, as necessary
  • Assist with receiving for incoming packages
  • Assist with requesting Raw Materials (RM) stickers
  • Deliver completed RM stickers with product to Requestor
  • Maintain Inventory Supply from DAIDS (gloves, rubber bands, etc.)
  • Take Weekly Inventory of Supplies from offsite Warehouse and communicate to appropriate Teams
  • Manage Quarantined Products
  • Trash removal
  • Restock the L-Closet with Shippers weekly
  • Maintain Shipper Supplies in the Warehouse
  • Receive pallets of Shippers and provide direct guidance to the Driver for pallet storage
  • Prepare Shippers for future use
  • Fill empty LN2 Shippers
  • Support Kit Production Shipping as needed
  • Additional Duties as assigned

Minimum Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year relevant working experience
Other Required
  • Familiar with Warehouse Receiving procedures
  • Good attention to detail, excellent documentation skills and must work well in a group environment
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision and guidance
  • Must be a flexible, agile Team Player who can change activities and directions quickly and respond to a variety of assignments and changing business needs
  • Ability to lift up to 60lbs and is able to squat, bend, stoop, push, kneel and reach
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods
  • Ability to work in cold, hot and wet environments
  • Must possess a valid driver's license allowing you to drive in the state(s) you drive in
  • Must be able to read, write, speak fluently and comprehend the English language
