Job Summary

At Cardone, our Finance Analyst will be working between two plants in Philadelphia on Rising Sun Ave. and Whitaker Ave. This role requires a focus on inventory control analysis, monitoring production orders, and transactions between receivables and credits being issued. Recent College Graduates are encouraged to apply!

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains the company's cost accounting system; makes recommendations for improvement as needed.
  • Provides cost estimates for new and existing products and customers and participates in cost reduction initiatives.
  • Prepares and analyzes specific accounting statements and reports to assist in the preparation of financial statements, tax reports, and other internal and external reports as required.
  • Prepares, researches, resolves, and enters recurring and reversing journal entries.
  • Coordinates with other departments to achieve cost planning targets. Assists in development and communications of operating plan and strategic plan.
  • Analyzes monthly operating performance and profit projections for reporting and developing action items.
  • Develops overhead and labor rates. Evaluates overhead and labor rates for accuracy and changes in manufacturing processes.
  • Participates in monthly and yearly closing process including journal entry preparation.
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of annual budgets.
  • Assists with related special projects as required.
  • Develops reports and provides analysis to plant management.
  • Reviews and analyzes the organization's accounting operation; establishes, develops, and/or recommends economic objectives and policies to management.
  • Prepares and analyzes financial and operational reports.
  • Coordinates preparation of corporate budgets and forecasts.
  • Manages monthly accounting close cycle; prepares month-end financial statement.
  • Installs, modifies, documents, and coordinates implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
  • 3-5 Years related experience or equivalent.
  • Experience with Inventory Control.
  • Thorough understanding of ERP or SAP system functionality and relationship between manufacturing and accounting transactions. (SAP experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel Skills.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method.
  • Willingness to learn and participate in implementation of new software and integration of new companies into existing ERP system.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Proficiency in cost accounting and generally accepted accounting principles.
