General Laborer

We are looking for a General Laborer to take up manual labor tasks and support operations at our Bensenville Terminal. Some of the most important general laborer responsibilities include, but not limited to: Fuel Tank maintenance, cleaning, surface preparation, and painting. General yard and housekeeping tasks may be applied. You'll also get to handle power tools and materials (such as saws and drills). We'd like you to have include stamina and the ability to lift heavy items/loads. You should be able to concentrate on performing your tasks and commit to safety rules. Responsibilities

Use power tools and machinery (e.g. forklifts) when needed

Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material

Daily assignments such as Fuel Tank maintenance, cleaning, surface preparation, and painting.

Requirements

Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 40 pounds etc.)

Good hand-eye coordination

Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus

Communication and teamwork skills

Commitment to safety rules

Must possess a high school diploma or GED.

Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, co-workers, other employees, and the public.

Specifications: This full-time position 40 hours per week typically between the hours of 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM; Monday-Friday. Some positions will be scheduled to work weekend hours. This position will report directly to the assigned crew leader, manager, supervisor with the support of staff within the Department.
