As a General Manager in our new Denver location, you will be part of a fast-paced management consulting firm that helps clients solve complex business issues. Anchored in heart and hustle, you will build our Pioneer brand by delivering a world class consulting experience and creating a work experience that welcomes, engages, and empowers team members to reach their highest potential.

You will oversee business operations, team, culture, and financial objectives to align to market and company vision and goals. Working closely with the Executive team, the General Manager promotes revenue, profitability, and sustainable growth by developing a strategic plan to advance the Company's mission and objectives while upholding our values- humble, hungry and connected (HHC).


You will have an important seat at the table to help grow and shape the Pioneer consulting experience in the Denver market. You will partner with the Executive Leadership team to set goals and priorities for the market to align with key business objectives and goals (i.e. revenue, profit, marketing, turnover, retention etc.)

You will always be a consultant first and thrive in an environment where you are solving complex problems and delivering exceptional results. You love the work of consulting and are committed to leading and delivering a different type of consulting experience. You will have a deep understanding of Pioneers products, consulting services and capabilities and will leverage those to identify opportunities, drive sales growth with new and existing clients and optimize client solutions

You will know the Denver market well as either a native or rooted community member and want to grow a business that makes a difference in that community. You will have a strong knowledge of industry trends, market drivers and have ideas on strategic priorities and tactics that will influence the growth of the business. In addition, you will be a relationships builder and have a strong professional presence and network in the market to introduce the Pioneer brand to local organizations and attract top talent.

You will bring a ton of heart and hustle in leading and executing on all aspects of the business to drive the achievement of goals, optimization of processes, continuous improvement, recruitment, and development of Pioneers, all while balancing short-term execution and long-term success.

You will understand what it means to put people first and value delivering an exceptional consulting and employee experience. You will embody our core values humble, hungry, and connected and provide leadership and mentorship to a growing team of top consultants in our four practices (Business Strategy, Business Operations, Organizational Change Management and Data Analytics). You will protect the legacy of the organization by maintaining its culture, creating an exceptional work experience and a brand of excellence in the Denver market.


Bachelor's degree and strong academic record; MBA degree preferred (but not required)

10+ years of experience in consulting at large management consulting and/or small boutique consulting firm with deep expertise in business strategy, business operations, organizational change, and data analytics.

Strong leadership capabilities and experience in hiring, motivating, and developing high performance individuals and teams

Demonstrated experience in developing and managing KPIs, P&Ls, and forecasting

An entrepreneurial spirit - with the ability to identify opportunities, drive progress, develop others and thrive in ambiguous environments and growing small consulting business

B2B solutions-based selling across a diversity of industries

Proven track record of delivery; possesses a results-oriented mentality and is highly effective at coordination, execution, and follow-up focused on the critical priorities to drive positive results

Passionate about leading with humility, driving hard to do great work, while being connected to the team and things you love outside of work

Ability to influence and develop trusting relationships with business leaders and cross-functional teams

Ability to exercise discretion and independent decision-making in response to unique situations

Ability to handle ambiguity and manage many responsibilities at one time, navigating the complexity of multiple client engagements

Exceptional verbal, written communications, and facilitation skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and strategically synthesize to draw out key themes, trends, and risks to a variety of audiences including executive leadership

The estimated compensation range for this role is $200,000 - $290,000. The compensation package is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set and years & depth of experience This may differ in other locations due to the cost of labor considerations.

Bonuses and incentives are awarded at Pioneer's discretion and are based upon individual contributions, overall firm performance, and growth of the Denver market.
