Job Overview

The VP, Logistics is responsible to lead and manage the Logistics support teams under short term and long term strategic directions and business changes, provide detailed business analysis to senior management for decision making approvals, control importing and distribution compliance measures to ensure all customs and legal requirements are met and develop and execute long term plan that effectively meets long term business strategies.



  • Logistics Process Management
    • Develop and optimize operational processes to meet existing and changing business requirements.
    • Set up objectives for all Logistics personnel.
    • Set key expectation and data points for KPI (key performance indicator) standards.
    • Ensure the Logistics vision is in line to effectively achieve brand and legal requirements and streamline processes.
  • Budgeting
    • Ensure labor budgets and personnel requirements are properly managed.
    • Define operational and investment needs annually.
    • Negotiate with outside vendors.
    • Ensure the proper mix of personnel and investment to meet operational needs and control external costs.
  • Import/Export/Compliance
    • Effectively manage an FTZ in compliance with all import requirements.
    • Manage all compliance issues for import and domestic legal requirements for both domestically and with Brand support.
    • Ensure Swatch Group is in line with all legal requirements across all logistics areas.
  • Business Analysis/Investment Strategy
    • Provide ongoing business and investment strategy needs to meet long-term growth.
    • Prepare all CER and financial analysis to present proposals to senior management.
    • Execute and implement within budgeted and timelines allotted.
    • Ensure the ongoing logistics support and meet the ongoing growth and business changes.
  • People Management
    • Define team organizations and allocate resources.
    • Provide internal objective guidelines.
    • Provide career development, motivation and rewards.
    • Provide quality team support.
    • Improve morale and productivity.
  • Additional Support Functions
    • Support all retail operations from a product, POS and construction and new startup standpoint.
    • Support the Caribbean Operations for customer delivery and general support management.
    • Support all brand operations for all areas affecting logistics.
Professional requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related area
  • 10+ years' experience in warehousing/distribution/operations management
  • Previous experience in compliance requirements, financial analysis, innovations and change management.
  • Strong inventory management experience
  • Knowledge of US Import/Export Customs
  • Experience with e-Commerce preferred
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Excellent leadership, influencing and organizing skills
  • Solid analytical/technical skills
  • Knowledge of ERP and warehousing systems
  • Ideally SAP experience and preferable SAP S/4 Hana
  • Senior Management Experience in all Logistics arenas especially warehousing and Import/Export
