Job Overview
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Guest Safety department radio communication system, as well as monitoring all alarm systems on property.
Communicates with all departments and Guest Safety Officers, to ensure security preparedness in the event of an emergency or other situation, which requires immediate attention.
Monitors all alarm systems on property, and notifies appropriate in-house personnel and/or outside agencies as necessary.
Maintains accurate, thorough logs of all incoming and outgoing information.
Dispatches Guest Safety Officers to various areas of the property, as needed.
Issues numbers to incident reports and valuable lost and found items.
Maintains a working knowledge of Pala Casino facilities, as well as special events on property, in order to advise guests and fellow Team Members of same, whenever possible.
Ensures that all Guest Safety Team Members are rotated sufficiently and that their thirty minute required breaks are adhered to.
Interacts with PBX Team Members relaying information as necessary.
Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction throughout the property is achieved and maintained.
Attend regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
Maintains inventory control of all supplies needed to successfully complete the essential functions of the job.
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum of six months in security, emergency response, or dispatch preferred.
Must possess excellent English communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to use a two-way radio, Nextel radio phone system, and regular telephone.
Must have operational knowledge of the Guest Safety radio 10-codes.
Must have working knowledge and apply computer skills in both Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must be able to adapt to updated software tools and dispatch systems such as ITRAK or IDispatch, or other forms of upgraded systems applicable to dispatch
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Must be able to acknowledge, monitor, and report on all property alarm systems, including elevator malfunction, fire alarms, intrusion alarms, and panic alarms.
Must have an ongoing working knowledge of emergency response procedures.
Must be able to monitor CCTV activity and systems.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form.
Must have a working knowledge of all Guest Safety Policies &Procedures
