Job Description We are seeking exceptional candidates for a 1st shift Warehouse Operations Supervisors for our New Lenox, IL operation. This is a daytime role but does require flexibility to work weekends and other shifts during peak season. Duties and responsibilities are as follows: • Supervise a staff of up to 25 associates • Analyze and research problems and provide resolutions • Plan and schedule tasks for receiving, storage and/or shipping of all goods • Train, coach and provide recognition to employees to achieve continuous improvement • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and safety guidelines • Monitor employee performance, and provide ongoing performance feedback. • Ensure daily, weekly and monthly goals are met or exceeded • Deliver effective team meetings • Manage labor costs by maximizing shift productivity and maintaining appropriate staffing levels for the volume of business • Complete other duties as assigned Network Global Logistics (NGL) Supply Chain Services (SCS) provides logistical expertise for our clients' end to end supply chain needs. Qualified applicants receive consideration for employment without regard to their race, religion, ancestry, sexual orientation, age, gender or disability Qualifications: • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a lead person/floor supervisor within a distribution/warehouse environment; 3PL experience a strong plus • Ability to supervise up to 25 people • Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel • Prior use of inventory management systems (WMS) warehouse management system is required • Ability to work a flexible work schedule including working weekends and holidays as needed • Ability to fill in for Operations manager when needed • Ability to meet deadlines • Excellent organizational skills • Detail oriented • May be required to hold a certificate for safe driving and operating of material handling equipment, such as forklifts and cherry pickers Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit, talk and hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items up to 25-50 pounds.
