Job Title: Operations SupervisorFLSA Status: Salaried ExemptClassification: SupervisorySUMMARYProvide all levels of guest service to customers in a highly visible supervisory role. Directly manage the activities of operations personnel and respond to and address organizational issues as needed.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Supervise day-to-day operations including planning, scheduling and assigning duties, projects and workloads to subordinate staff.Respond to all customer related inquiries, concerns and questions either directly or by referring them to the appropriate party/department.Perform regular quality control inspections related to cleanliness and safety to ensure operational duties are performed and up to company standards.Confer and cooperate with other departments to ensure coordination of activities such as special events, banquets, board meetings etc.Perform all necessary supervisory functions to effectively and efficiently manage assigned personnel and various departmental staff in the absence of their direct supervisor.Enact emergency plans as needed; direct operational activities during closures; safety events, disasters, etc.Report workplace incidents, such as injuries, equipment malfunctions and thefts to appropriate parties in a timely manner.Order or requisition inventory, supplies and equipment with appropriate documentation for processing.Ensure department head is promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action where necessary.Communicate all areas of accountability and performance expected of subordinate staff.Ensure that both new and experienced workers are well-trained and have the skills and knowledge they need to do their jobs safely and effectively.Comply with legislation and regulations concerning safety, employment and environmental protections.Communicate changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensure that proper compliance is followed.Oversee the cash in and out procedures of staff including reconciling discrepancies, providing change and communicating shortages/overages.Determine and set the appropriate schedules related to tram car operation, including hauling water, passenger cars and transporting goods and vendors as needed.Present a polished and professional image in conjunction with company policy.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESDirectly supervises thirteen service representatives and on occasion ten security officers in the Operations Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
