Job Summary Medical Equipment Technician & Delivery Driver Location: Orlando, FL Salary: $24,960 - $29,120 Job Type: Full Time Start Date: ASAP Sponsorship not available for this role Medical Equipment Technician & Delivery Driver Job Description Our client is looking for a Medical Equipment Technician & Delivery Driver to add to their team in Orlando, FL. You will drive a box truck and receive a new route daily. You will deliver, exchange, set up and pick up medical and respiratory equipment and supplies at residences, adult care homes, assisted living locations, and long term care facilities. Technicians generally make 10-15 stops per day. While delivering the equipment, you will also instruct patients and caregivers on the proper use and care of the equipment. To be successful in this role, you must be compassionate and respectful of customers. Medical Equipment Technician & Delivery Driver Responsibilities Receive a daily route and supply list and prepare the truck for delivery by pulling stock, staging equipment for delivery based on the order of the route, and loading equipment on the truck Conduct a daily pre-trip inspection of the truck, equipment and supplies, confirming basic safety operations Deliver and set-up medical equipment Instruct patients and/or caregivers on the proper use and care of equipment in a compassionate and respectful manner Follow the daily route to pick up and/or exchange hospice equipment Breaks down, load and return equipment Maintain continuous communication with the customer service team Relay changes in an order or issues with prescribed orders, position in routes, stock availability and confirm delivery and pick up of equipment Maintain an awareness of patients’ conditions and needs and communicate that information to the appropriate staff Complete and maintain a driver log, vehicle check out and vehicle inspection reports Respond to emergency calls and new patient orders during regular business hours and on-call rotation hours Upon completion of route, unload and check in returned equipment with the warehouse Stock delivery trucks with rolling stock to ensure “ready” condition for the next delivery Medical Equipment Technician & Delivery Driver Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is required Driver’s license required 6+ months of experience in a customer-facing role required 1+ years of box-truck delivery experience required Healthcare industry experience preferred Medical equipment experience preferred Spanish speaking is required Must be mobile phone savvy Tests Required for the Medical Equipment Technician & Delivery Driver Role Drug Test Background Test (goes back 7 years) Fingerprinting Driving Record (no major violations in the past 5 consecutive years, no more than 3 minor violations or at-fault accidents in the past 36 consecutive months, no more than 1 preventable accident in the past 36 months) Job Type: Full-time Salary: $24,960.00 to $29,120.00 /year Experience: customer-facing: 1 year (Preferred) box truck driving: 1 year (Preferred) medical equipment: 1 year (Preferred) delivery: 1 year (Required) healthcare industry: 1 year (Preferred) Education: High school (Preferred) License: driver's license (Required) Language: Spanish (Required) Work authorization: United States (Required)
